How to create a blank file in Mac OSX with the Finder

Amazing as it is, Apple has not included a native way of creating a blank file with the Finder. So what people end up doing is copying an existing file and renaming it. Wow!

Apple please take this feedback into account! there are thousands of people wondering why this is not possible within the operating systems, being so great as they are!

It looks to me like the “one-button mouse” issue, when Apple resisted so much to add a second click.

Well, if you arrived here looking for a solution, I cannot give you mine, but refer to others’, namely this one http://apple.stackexchange.com/a/41311
